Sounds like the OP needs to go see Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice because it directly answers this question. -

Are you seriously writing a novel? That's really bad. Like, worse than the worst stuff you'll find on Amazon. -

Mass baptism nullification 10/2/16 #unJW
by rebel8 ini thought i would rework this and try it again.
i found an old baptism nullification letter here written by poster balsam, and revised it a bit.. i really think we should do a large-scale baptismal nullification request.
letter and more info here.. i am concerned there is no way to track how many people did it.

Armchair activism accomplishes precisely nothing, especially with JWs -

DVDs and CDs were made by a 3rd party so it's another cost saving measure. -

Activism idea. Get former JWs celebrities to raise awareness
by Viva la Vida init just occurred to me that former jws celebrities could help in a campaign to raise awareness on some of the most controversial jw's practices (two witness rule in relation to child abuse, shunning, blood).
we would need some of them to record brief videos and share them through social media.
this can be more effective than what any of us could individually do.

Yeah none of them really give enough of a fuck. It's such a narrow focus when compared to ending shit like world hunger or something like that.
That list is also extremely misleading because a lot of those people were most likely never baptized and can't really be considered 'inactive'

by done4good inmorning warship - he was the only restraint and i'm not saying that lightly.
i know there are a dozen others here who were in bethel back in the early 2000's who know what i'm talking about.
he actually kept me thinking this was jehovah's org because of his sincerity as if the holy spirit was operating in him.

Oh god. "THE HOME" The people who were overseers in the home and their underlings were the worst. Biggest group of assholes at Bethel. -

Need confirmation: WT bought an entire mountain in China to mine the granite needed for new WT HQ
by WingCommander insomeone asked for a second source on this, so i'm putting this out there to those who may have visited the new wt hq lately and know it to be true.
i had read from others on the ex-jw subreddit that had taken a tour recently at wt hq, that they had been shown photos of a mountain in china, and told that this is where all of the granite is being mined from and shipped over to new york to use at the site of the new wt hq.
apparently, it was cheaper for them to do this and have the local brothers in china mine it, then having to by tons upon tons of granite here in the usa, even wholesale.

It's entirely possible they are buying and importing granite from China. It's less likely they 'bought' a mountain. It is however, totally impossible that they are using JW labor in China to get it. No fucking way.
I wouldn't be surprised if the tour guide was making shit up or passing down rumors. I did it all the time when giving tours in Brooklyn.

When I first started my time at Bethel, he was apparently recovering from some sort of surgery, so he wasn't around. One morning, I as I approached my morning worship table, guess who was sitting at the foot of the table. Yup. Dan Sydlik. We chatted for a bit. He could tell I was new so he asked all the basic questions. I mentioned where I was from and he asked about a few people he correctly assumed I knew. Overall he was very pleasant. He didn't come off as jerk or anything. I also thought it was interesting he sat at the foot of the table instead of the head. Among some bethelites this is a HUGE deal. The fact he sat at the other end tells me that he just wanted to sit down and get some food lol. He didn't seem to care about status.
I could definitely see him as a very "moderate" almost left of center GB person.
